Football Game Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers + How To Watch

The Loretto Mustangs will square off against the Mt. Pleasant Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loretto hasn't scored more than 13 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Loretto's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Bolivar Central on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 14-0 to the Tigers. The shutout was out of character for the Mustangs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mt. Pleasant took on Lewis County on Friday. The Tigers took a 27-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Mt. Pleasant took the loss, they still got scores from Payton Niehaus and Jaylen Easterling.

Loretto's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.

Loretto strolled past Mt. Pleasant when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-12. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
