Seton Catholic was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against La Center on Tuesday. Everything went the Seton Catholic Cougars' way against the La Center Wildcats as the Seton Catholic Cougars made off with a 14-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jocelyn Kender made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Ellie Travalia was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Kuhnhausen, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as La Center only posted an OBP of .280.

The victory got Seton Catholic back to even at 1-1. As for La Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Seton Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against La Center: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
