Volleyball Recap: Bunker Hill Takes a Loss

Bunker Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Lincoln Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Bunker Hill wouldn't go down easily and took East Lincoln into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 15-9.

Bunker Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for East Lincoln, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Bunker Hill will welcome West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Lincoln, they will head out on the road to square off against West Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
