Softball Recap: Franklin County Tech Wins Going Away Against Mahar Regional

While Franklin County Tech put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Mahar Regional. The Eagles blew past the Senators 18-0. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Senators: they've now won eight in a row.

Brayleigh Burgh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Gianna DiSciullo and Shelby O'Leary did most of the damage at the plate: DiSciullo went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while O'Leary went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits DiSciullo has posted since back in April of 2024. Lindsey Taylor was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Franklin County Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Franklin County Tech's record is now 6-3. As for Mahar Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
