Baseball Recap: St. Augustine Takes a Loss

St. Augustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Redan Raiders. If the Purple Knights were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Raiders when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Augustine saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Castillo, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Castillo a new career-high in hits. Dylan Robinson was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

St. Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Redan, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

St. Augustine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Jackson on the 8th. Redan has also already played their next match (against Norcross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
