Basketball Recap: Harvard-Westlake Starts Season with Win on the Road

Harvard-Westlake had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They really took it to the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-28 win. The Wolverines pushed the score to 50-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Highlanders had little chance of recovering from.

Granada Hills Charter's loss came despite strong showings from Tasia Wilson- Sowah and Alyssa Badua. Wilson- Sowah posted two points and eight boards, while Badua scored six points.

Looking ahead, Harvard-Westlake will take on Sage Hill in a tournament on Monday. As for Granada Hills Charter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-26 defeat against Valencia on the 20th.
