Softball Recap: Shelton Gaels vs. Stratford Red Devils

After flying high against Wilbur Cross last Friday, Shelton came back down to earth. The Shelton Gaels fell just short of the Stratford Red Devils by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday.

Jeanise Serrano led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Julia Lawrence was another key contributor, going 4-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.

Even though they lost, Shelton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
