Volleyball Recap: Walsenburg Takes a Loss

Walsenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pueblo East Eagles.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Myah Abeyta, who had 12 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Walsenburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Pueblo East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

Walsenburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Grand Junction Central on the 1st. As for Pueblo East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Liberty on the 1st.
