Softball Recap: Myers Park Wins Going Away Against Berry

Myers Park won the last time they faced Berry and things went their way on Thursday too. The Myers Park Mustangs put the hurt on the Berry Cardinals with a sharp 15-0 win. With that victory, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Ryann Rempson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Camille Christian, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Rempson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Myers Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The win got Myers Park back to even at 4-4. As for Berry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Myers Park will challenge Butler at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Butler is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Berry, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Berry Cardinals take on West Charlotte Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
