Hoehne came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Crowley County, but Levi Gibson wouldn't allow it. The Chargers took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 60-32 victory over the Farmers thanks in part to Gibson, who rushed for 242 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 128.2 rushing yards per game.

Crowley County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Derreck Buford and Krew Karney. Crowley County got some further help from Donaven Bell: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Hoehne lost, don't look at Jake Magninat. Despite the final result, he rushed for 184 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 53 yards and one touchdown. The Farmers' leading receiver Brody Silvey was Magninat's top target yet again, picking up 41 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 61 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Crowley County and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 35 points. As for Hoehne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Crowley County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-0 victory against Walsenburg on the 11th. As for Hoehne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 44-36 win against Sangre de Cristo on the 11th.
