Basketball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Pipestem Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bloomingdale Blazers, falling 52-31. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Caden Dunkle had an outrageously good game for Bloomingdale as he posted 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Scheidler, who scored seven points along with five boards and five blocks.

Pipestem Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bloomingdale, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Pipestem Christian Academy will host Mountain Mission at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Challengers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out to take on Covenant at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
