Softball Recap: Laton Takes a Loss

Laton lost against Riverdale last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Laton Mustangs came up short against the Riverdale Cowboys, falling 27-8. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Samantha Peralez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emmily Mares, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Laton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Riverdale, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Laton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-15 loss against Kings Christian on the 19th. As for Riverdale, they have also already played their next match, a 24-4 win against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on the 19th.
