Basketball Recap: Royalton-Hartland Takes a Loss

Royalton-Hartland was the 66-56 winner over Barker when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Royalton-Hartland Rams were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 61-60 to the Barker Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by just one point.

When it comes to explaining why Royalton-Hartland lost, don't look at Dan Aquilina. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 30 points and 16 boards. Braden Ricker was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Even though they lost, Royalton-Hartland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

This is the second loss in a row for Royalton-Hartland and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Barker, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Royalton-Hartland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-49 win against Medina on the 24th. As for Barker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-37 loss against Newfane on the 24th.
