Recap: Evans Knights vs. Greenbrier Wolfpack
There's no place like home for the Evans Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Greenbrier by a score of 77-64 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Taj Ford, who scored 29 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Evans' points. Brice Wallace was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Evans back to even at 2-2. As for Greenbrier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Evans will be playing at home against Academy of Richmond County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Richmond County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Evans likes a good challenge. As for Greenbrier, they will head out on the road to face off against Coffee at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
