Volleyball Recap: Lourdes Academy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lourdes Academy entered their tilt with Saint Andrew on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Scots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lourdes Academy also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Juliette Vazquez-Bello paced Lourdes Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Vazquez-Bello got some help from Jenna Acosta and her 18 assists. Vazquez-Bello also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sofia Lagonowicz, racking up two apiece.

Lourdes Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Saint Andrew's, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lourdes Academy will square off against Boca Raton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saint Andrew's, they will face off against Benjamin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
