Volleyball Recap: Van Alstyne Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Van Alstyne suffered their biggest defeat since October 22, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Aubrey Chaparrals, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Van Alstyne was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Aubrey work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-15, 25-18.

This is the second loss in a row for Van Alstyne and nudges their season record down to 24-13. As for Aubrey, the win was the 23rd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Van Alstyne is set to square off against their familiar foe Lake Dallas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Aubrey will challenge rival Sanger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
