Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Templeton). They wrapped up 2024 with a 66-50 victory over the Lone Pine Golden Eagles. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

Lone Pine's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Guerra, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Perfecto Valdez, who earned ten points.

Templeton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Lone Pine, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Templeton will venture away from home to challenge Kern Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Templeton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three games. As for Lone Pine, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Antelope Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
