South Eugene has gone 9-0-1 against Roseburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Axe will be playing at home against the Indians at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Eugene headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but South Medford let them put that streak behind them. The Axe never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Monday. Given South Eugene's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 18th, while South Medford are ranked 77th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Roseburg hadn't done well against Sheldon recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Irish 2-1.

Roseburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for South Eugene, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-2.

South Eugene skirted past Roseburg 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Axe repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
