Basketball Preview: Jackson Aggies vs. Satsuma Gators
Jackson is 4-0 against the Gators since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Jackson Aggies will be playing at home against the Satsuma Gators at 6:00 p.m. Jackson will be looking to keep their 18-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Tuesday, Jackson earned a 50-42 victory over the Leopards.
Jackson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyra Caves, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Jazmine Jones was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Satsuma came up short against the Chieftains on Monday and fell 48-40.
Jackson's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Satsuma, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Jackson against the Gators in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the squad secured a 57-27 win. Does Jackson have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
