Recap: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Point Loma Pointers
The Mira Mesa Marauders won against the Point Loma Pointers last Friday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Mira Mesa walked away with a 50-39 victory over Point Loma. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mira Mesa.
Ivorii Seals continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with five assists and four blocks. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Mira Mesa's points. Alyssa Otero was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Mira Mesa's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Point Loma, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mira Mesa will take on University City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Point Loma, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
