For the first time this season, Livermore will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Dublin Gaels at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Livermore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 35.2 points per game this season.

Livermore lost 44-20 to California on Friday. The game marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Livermore took the loss, they still got scores from AJ Carey and Caden Romero.

Meanwhile, Dublin didn't have quite enough to beat Amador Valley on Friday and fell 17-14. The Gaels have struggled against the Dons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Andre Armendariz and Vincent Maiorana. Maiorana had a solid game and rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Meanwhile, Armendariz did his best for the losing side, rushing for 120 yards and one touchdown.

Even if they lost, Dublin's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Amador Valley's QB won't forget Tyler Gray anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Gray is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last five games he's played. Malachi Smith was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Livermore, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Livermore has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 157.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Dublin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 170 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Livermore won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, slipping by Dublin 28-27. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Gaels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
