Football Game Preview: Battlefield Bobcats vs. Forest Park Bruins + Official Tickets

The Battlefield Bobcats will challenge the Forest Park Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Battlefield is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Unity Reed: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bobcats blew the Lions out of the water with a 35-6 final score. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Battlefield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Blackstock, who rushed for 24 yards and two TDs. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Blackstock a new career-high.

Blackstock was just one part of a punishing run game: Battlefield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Unity Reed only rushed for three.

Meanwhile, Forest Park blew past Hylton, posting a 42-12 win. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 286th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Battlefield's record is now 9-1. As for Forest Park, their record now sits at 6-4.

Everything came up roses for Battlefield against Forest Park in their previous meeting back in September of 2018, as the squad secured a 36-7 victory. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
