Softball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lakeland Preparatory on Friday, Bartlett came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Arlington Tigers on Monday, falling 19-8. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 9-8 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ashlyn McCommon and Addison Brown stepped up to the plate in a big way. McCommon went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Brown went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenlee Suarez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Bartlett has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

While Bartlett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
