Volleyball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Fontana's 17th in Last 19 Outings

There's no place like home for Fontana, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Bloomington Bruins on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-18.

Donavan Bacon paced Fontana's offense, picking up nine kills. Bacon got some help from Luis Gonzalez and his 21 assists. Anthony Camacho controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fontana is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Bloomington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Fontana will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Summit at 4:30 p.m. The SkyHawks will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Steelers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bloomington, they will head out on the road to square off against Rialto at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
