Northview won the last time they faced Perrysburg and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats skirted past the Yellow Jackets 4-3. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Nick Schantz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Charlie Paulson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Josh Sprenger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Northview and bumps their season record up to 3-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Perrysburg, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Northview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellow Jackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
