Volleyball Recap: Milton Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Milton had won two straight home games and Elise Wieters did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Red Hawks came out on top against the Oregon Panthers by a score of 3-1 for which the team can thank Wieters, who had 14 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

While Milton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Oregon scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 18-25, 25-22.

Loss or not, Oregon got some senior leadership from Alexis Fields and Devin Howard. Fields had 17 digs and three assists, while Howard had 11 digs and two aces.

Milton's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Oregon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-16.

Milton has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Marshfield on the 27th. As for Oregon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Carmel on the 27th.
