Soccer Recap: Creekside Comes Up Short

Creekside was the 3-1 winner over Mandarin when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Mustangs on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Creekside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Mandarin are ranked ninth).

Creekside's goal came courtesy of Ivan Bakulin, who's now up to two this season.

Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-1. As for Mandarin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Creekside will face off against Englewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mandarin, they will challenge Stanton at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
