University put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pueblo South Colts a 17-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Kenzie Wyatt was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Natalie Galindo was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Bergen Duarte, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one double.

University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. The last time their batting average was this high was back in October of 2024.

University's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Pueblo South, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, University will challenge Elizabeth at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pueblo South, they will take on Strasburg in a tournament on Saturday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
