Volleyball Game Preview: Christian Academy Warriors vs. Lanesville Eagles

The Christian Academy Warriors will take on the Lanesville Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Christian Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Madison just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Cubs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered against the Cubs since October 3, 2020.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-24, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Lanesville lost 3-0 to Perry Central on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Commodores: they've now lost three in a row.

While Lanesville was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Perry Central's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-21.

Lanesville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

Christian Academy took their win against Lanesville in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
