Baseball Recap: Lakeside Christian Comes Up Short

Lakeside Christian lost against Gulf back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 5-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Rochell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Dominic Ludovici, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Lakeside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Gulf, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside Christian will take on Seven Rivers Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gulf, they will square off against Fivay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buccaneers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
