Baseball Recap: East Hill Christian Takes a Loss

If East Hill Christian was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Gulf Pointe Latin last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. East Hill Christian came up short against the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors on Friday, falling 21-4. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Conquerors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Brayden Page made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Ben Bentley also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

East Hill Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their record now sits at 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Hill Christian will host Central Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will welcome Gulf Pointe Latin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gulf Pointe Latin has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.6 runs per game on average), something West Florida Baptist Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
