Football Game Preview: Cromwell Cardinals vs. Carlton/Wrenshall

The Cromwell Cardinals will face off against Carlton/Wrenshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cromwell has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 141 points over their last three games.

Cromwell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Bertha-Hewitt, who was ranked 17th at the time (Cromwell was ranked 11th). The Cardinals took down the Bears 36-20 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Carlton/Wrenshall scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were dealt a 52-14 loss at the hands of Sebeka. The defeat continues a trend for Carlton/Wrenshall in their meetings with Sebeka: they've now lost three in a row.

Carlton/Wrenshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cromwell, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Cromwell barely slipped by Carlton/Wrenshall in their previous meeting back in October of 2020, winning 15-14. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carlton/Wrenshall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
