Savannah Christian waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Brantley County Herons. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Savannah Christian took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-10.

Savannah Christian found their leader in sophomore Carinne Cason, who had 11 assists and three aces. Kamila Salinas also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Savannah Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Brantley County, they dropped their record down to 11-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Savannah Christian and Brantley County will both be playing Savannah Country Day the next time they take the court. The Herons will head out to face the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
