Evans had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since January 24th.

Central Florida Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexander Dipaolo, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Dylan Cambell was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 14 points and eight boards.

Looking ahead, Evans will take on Stranahan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Dr. Phillips at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
