The New Hanover Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season. They blew past North Brunswick 65-31 at home. Given New Hanover's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while North Brunswick is ranked 280th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The match was Wilson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Brianna Stanley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why North Brunswick lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ayanna Meyers. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points. Meyers scored a full 54.8% of North Brunswick's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
New Hanover pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for North Brunswick, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
