Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Wyatt Schmidt stepped things up a notch to give Flagstaff the 'W'. Schmidt tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. The performance also marked the fewest walks (two) he has had since back in February.

Schmidt's effort led Flagstaff over Mohave and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Flagstaff is a perfect 9-0 against Mohave going back to March of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
