Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Streator Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17.

Miley Morris paced Reed-Custer's offense, picking up four kills. Morris got some help from Madelynn Marschner and her six assists. Marschner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Reed-Custer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Streator, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Reed-Custer will square off against Manteno at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Streator, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Pontiac on the 3rd.
