Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Phoebus' Winning Streak

If Phoebus was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Manor on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phantoms took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodside Wolverines on Tuesday. The Phantoms' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Woodside scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20.

Phoebus' defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Woodside, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Phoebus is set to challenge their familiar foe Menchville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Woodside will square off against rival Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
