Campbell and Carrollton are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2022, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Campbell is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to Westminster.

Campbell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper MacDonald, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Carrollton made easy work of North Paulding on Wednesday and carried off an 11-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Carrollton also got a great performance from Khloe Norton as she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kylei Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Tayarri Simmons was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Carrollton has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.

Everything went Campbell's way against Carrollton in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, as Campbell made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
