The Davie War Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Alexander Central Cougars to 37 in the War Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The War Eagles now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Davie will play a Pioneers team coming off a 73-51 non-league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Alexander Central falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to South Iredell (Statesville, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 2-6. South Iredell lost 72-50 in their recent non-league game against North Iredell (Olin, NC)
