The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Christian Family Academy Fire (Conover, NC) and the visiting Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC), observed Christian Family Academy's basketball team knock off Challenger by a score of 68-57.

The Fire (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Warriors come into the Western Piedmont challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Veritas Christian Academy was knocked off by Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC), 59-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Firebirds encounter the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors (Lake Lure, NC) in a Western Piedmont challenge, on Wednesday, January 21. Challenger will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 66-49 league win over Haywood Christian Academy (Waynesville, NC).
