Goldsboro Cougars (Goldsboro, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC), 86-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Goldsboro upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Eastern Wayne lost 60-57 in their recent non-league bout against North Johnston (Kenly, NC)

Next up, the Gators play the Beddingfield Bruins (Wilson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Spring Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Bruins come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 63-45 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, NC).
