North Carolina High School Softball - Lee County knocked off by Cape Fear
The Cape Fear Colts overwhelmed the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Colts meet the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) in a Tri-County 6A/7A challenge, on Friday, April 17. Cape Fear will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 10-9 league win over Lumberton (Lumberton, NC).
The Yellow Jackets (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans go into the Carolina Pines 6A challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Harnett Central toppled Lee County (Sanford, NC), 18-2, in a league challenge.
