Scotland Scots (Laurinburg, NC) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC), 6-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Scotland upgrades its record to 13-9 on the year.

The Colts now own a 15-6 record. They play next when they host Pine Forest for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 29. Cape Fear will confront a Trojans team coming off a 17-2 league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-15.
