Centura-Central Valley Diamonds (Cairo, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Diamonds now own a 8-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gothenburg for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 19. Centura-Central Valley will battle a Swedes squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Aurora (Aurora, NE). The Swedes record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Southern Valley/Alma falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The travel to Ord (Ord, NE) to battle the Chanticleers in a C District 9 challenge on Monday, September 19. The Chanticleers enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Ord won 13-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Centura-Central Valley (Cairo, NE)
