Mira Mesa suffered a tough 66-40 loss at the hands of Rancho Bernardo. Mira Mesa has struggled against Rancho Bernardo recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Marauders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ivorii Seals, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Seals scored a full 47.5% of Mira Mesa's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Otero, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho Bernardo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lindsay Biddle, who scored 16 points. The contest was Biddle's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Claire Neidre was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Mira Mesa has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Rancho Bernardo, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Mira Mesa is on the road again on Friday and play against Victory Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 22, 2023. Victory Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mira Mesa in California (Victory Christian Academy is ranked 205th, while Mira Mesa is ranked 601st). Rancho Bernardo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Central at 4:00 p.m. on December 21, 2023. Central is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
