The Moore Catholic Mavericks stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Sunday. They were the clear victor by a 51-29 margin over Curtis. Given Moore Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Curtis is ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Moore Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Felci led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Emma Costanzo, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Moore Catholic and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Curtis, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Moore Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wagner at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Curtis, they will challenge New Dorp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
