The Burns Broncs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 14th straight loss. They suffered a rough 59-37 defeat at the hands of Pine Bluffs. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Burns in their matchups with Pine Bluffs: they've now lost four in a row.
Burns lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Medley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds. Parker Ochsner was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Burns' loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Pine Bluffs, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burns will square off against Lingle-Fort Laramie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Bluffs, they will head out on the road to face off against Niobrara County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Niobrara County will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
