The Rockledge Raiders will face off against the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockledge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Rockledge's victory against Cocoa Beach wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rockledge came out on top in a nail-biter against Cocoa Beach on Wednesday, sneaking past 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.
Riley Ravenscroft looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Gizelle Arteaga was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Ahraya Dalaq was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Melbourne Central Catholic put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy as Melbourne Central Catholic made off with a 22-1 win. The matchup marked the Hustlers' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Emily Lowe made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. In other batting news, Maison Lelievre was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelynn Prayto, who scored three runs while going 1-for-5.
Rockledge's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Everything went Rockledge's way against Melbourne Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in March of 2018, as Rockledge made off with a 12-2 win.
