Having just played yesterday, the Fox Creek Predators will get right back to it and host the Horse Creek Academy Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Fox Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Horse Creek Academy likes a good challenge.
Fox Creek posted their biggest victory since December 18, 2023 on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 68-48 margin over Westminster Schools of Augusta. Given Fox Creek's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 135th in South Carolina, while Westminster Schools of Augusta is ranked 461st in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Connor Cannon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Fox Creek's points. Kobe Sims was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Horse Creek Academy earned a 59-50 victory over New Hope Leadership Academy on Saturday.
Among those leading the charge was Wesley Green, who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Kingston Hightower, who scored 13 points.
Fox Creek has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Horse Creek Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Everything came up roses for Fox Creek against Horse Creek Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 79-26 win. With Fox Creek ahead 57-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
